Worcestershire's rising metalcore force, 7 Year War, storms the battlefield with their explosive new single "Wolf in Sheep's Clothing" – released March 9th, 2025!
"Wolf in Sheep's Clothing" marks the band's highly anticipated return, following their 2023 release "Fallen Angel," which garnered over 10,000 streams, including 3,000 in just three weeks. The track received positive praise from media outlets and caught the attention of YouTube reactors, solidifying 7 Year War as a rising force in the metalcore scene.
The new single "Wolf In Sheep's Clothing" is a track that will absolutely decimate the pit from the very first note. Kicking off with a monstrous riff, it quickly transitions into what can only be described as war drums in the heat of battle, paired with filthy gutturals. It's a brutal sonic assault on the brain that'll have you head-banging long after the song ends.
Vocalist Tom, commented on the new release:
"Wolf in sheep’s clothing is based on personal experience with people who I though I could trust in life but later backstabbed me. It’s written from the perspective of the “Wolf” and describes what goes through their mind as they gain your trust and back stab you. It’s a song that many may find relatable because it’s written about something that we have all gone through ourselves."
7 Year War was formed in 2021 with a fierce passion for fast, heavy riffs. The band initially honed their craft by mastering covers of classic tracks like "In Waves" by Trivium, "Tears Don't Fall" by Bullet For My Valentine, and Metallica's "Sad But True" / "Master of Puppets"—some of which still regularly appear on their setlists. However, by early 2022, they shifted focus to writing their own original tracks, and they now have 11 finalized songs with more in the works. To date, they've released 4 tracks, each one unleashing pure destruction.
