BROKEN CASTLES UNLEASH SECOND EP, THE SMELL OF VICTORY.

Information Provided By: Vandalism Begins At Home Records

It's time to breathe it in, take it down and let it burn in your chest. Broken Castles unleash their second EP 'The Smell Of Victory', a record built from atomic riffs, pummelling drums and savage vocals, featuring the groove-laden 'It's A Beautiful Life', the unrelenting beast 'Fuzz Brute' and the epic 'Deliverance', plus 2 previously unreleased tracks that'll set your soul alight.

Ben Suttey (lead vocals) says,

"We have grown as a band on this record and our bond has been elevated to greater heights. All the blood, sweat and tears are in there, nothing was left behind and when the needle hits the groove it'll take you on a rock 'n' roll joyride!" Broken Castles ventured to the coast to record at Brighton Electric with Alex Gordon (Blood Red Shoes, The Cure, Sea Power) and set out to achieve a vast and explosive sound.

Dan Gibling (bass) explains,

"We wanted a massive room sound, so our engineer, Alex Gordon, plugged in as many mics as he could - they were everywhere, down the corridor and taped to the floor. It was an epic feat of engineering. The tracks were then sent to Wayne Adams for mixing (who just produced Green Lung’s #1 Rock Chart album 'This Heathen Land') who elevated them into a real thing of beauty. Honestly, the whole thing has just been a riot from start to end and totally surpassed our expectations of how these tracks could sound. We've definitely got a special EP on our hands".

3 scorching singles and an EP to their name already in 2024, but

Broken Castles are just getting warmed up.

Graham Hulbert (drums) says,

"After kicking off the first half of the year with our new EP, we want to get out there and play as many shows as we can to get our music in front of people. Shows are where it's at for us, live music is in our blood! ".

Novacaine Rating: 9/10 "These guys have a crazy sound, they've listed Clutch as one of the reasons as to why fans may enjoy their music, I've seen Clutch live before and just by the sound of this new EP, I can say they definitely match their energy and style. These guys are hitting the ground running and more.
