American heavy metal act 'Spirit Adrift' are set to release their brand new album 'Ghost At The Gallows' on August 18th 2023 via Century Media Records.

Spirit Adrift has impressively unveiled five albums in just eight years, each a testament to their mastery of godly riffs, resounding heavy metal vocals, irresistible beats, and lyrics that compel you to thrash your hair about without a care in the world—even in your grandmother's living room.

My recent introduction to Spirit Adrift is owed to Century Media, one of our esteemed PR partners who graciously shared some of their music this week. While I must be discreet in my revelations, it's undeniable that these musicians have forged something undeniably exceptional.

Regrettably, I missed the opportunity to witness Spirit Adrift's performance at Download 2023, a year dedicated to experiencing the bands atop my bucket list. Nevertheless, I can't help but imagine the thrilling experience of immersing myself in their lineup; undoubtedly, their magnificence would have left an indelible mark.

Speaking to Century Media about the new album, vocalist Nate Garret said:

I wanted to write something timeless, that summed up the entire journey of SPIRIT ADRIFT, Something that really connects with people beyond them temporarily feeling, ‘This is really sick! Album of the year!’ I wanted it to be something that you’re going to listen to in ten years

Nate also spoke about what sort of theme to expect from this album,

Subconsciously, each album I do tends to have a theme or make a point. I didn’t realize it when I was writing, but the new album seems to encapsulate the grieving process. I realized when I was done with it that lyrically all the stages of grief are present. It’s a way to mourn, it’s a way to grieve, to take painful things that happen in our lives and make something powerful and positive out of it. That’s been the goal with this band from day one.

Spirit Adrift has unleashed a powerful offering from their upcoming album, aptly named 'Barn Burner'. While undeniably a stunning track, it doesn't claim the top spot as my personal favorite from the album. Of course, I'm unable to unveil that favorite just yet. What I can reveal, however, is that 'Ghost At The Gallows' promises to secure a prime position in your 2023 playlist lineup. Ignoring this release would undoubtedly be a musical disservice!
