Manchester's Grunge Punk Progressive Metallers, The Island, have announced that they will be releasing their second full-length studio album "Liminal" on July 18th, 2025.

Blending metal, punk and progressive genres into a singular, undeniable sound, LIMINAL is a testament to the band and their raw, untethered energy. THE ISLAND are quickly establishing themselves as a band to keep an eye on in the underground rock scene, combining relentless musical attitude with a knack for political scrutiny, THE ISLAND know what they want to say with this record.
Frontperson Ben Nicholson has provided this quote about LIMINAL:
"It was inspired by personal events, the covid pandemic, and the consistent ineptitude and evil of the British government. It chronicles a personal journey of self-acceptance and hope in the face of an ever deteriorating society, from stacked economic crisis and stripped rights for marginalised people, to the culture wars and personal turmoil. It is an observation of life in transition, of generations of people lost in a turbulent watershed period of human history; a historical, social, and personal, Liminal space."
LIMINAL was self produced and handled entirely in house by the band themselves.
The band have already release two singles in support of the record, with a further two in the pipeline. LIMINAL releases on the 18th of July, it will be available on all major streaming services, along with select physical media.
