THE ARTIST DATABASE

NOVACAINE LTD PRESENTS:

BUILT FOR THE UNHEARD, UNSEEN AND UNDENIABLE.

REQUIREMENTS TO REGISTER

None of the individual form fields are used in isolation to determine eligibility for booking they are used collectively to support fair curation, planning, and communication.

Electronic Press Kit (EPK)

An Electronic Press Kit (EPK) is a document or media package (Google Drive or Dropbox Links Only) that gives us an overview of you as an artist or band. We do not expect extensive industry experience or a large amount of content, just the essentials, such as:

  • Artist/Band bio

  • Streaming links

  • Contact information

  • Social media links

Additional materials such as promo photos, live performance videos, press quotes/reviews, technical specifications, and performance history are helpful, but not required.

An EPK is a mandatory requirement, as it is an essential part of the live music industry and allows us to easily share information about you with promoters, venues, and our network contacts.

Booking Fee

We ask for an estimated booking fee to help us plan and budget our events appropriately. We understand that fees may change over time, so we will always confirm whether your rates have changed before finalising any booking.

Basic Artist/Band Information

We request basic details such as:

  • Artist/Band name

  • Number of members

  • Contact information for either the act or their representative

This helps us better understand your setup and what to expect when working with you.

Location

We ask for your location in case it is not included within your EPK. While we work with artists from across the UK and internationally, we also aim to include local Sheffield acts on our line-ups wherever possible to help support and nurture the local music scene.

Ticket Sale History

Live performance experience is not required. However, if you have previously performed in the Sheffield area and can provide an estimate of past ticket sales, this information can help us when considering line-up placement, event planning, and pricing structure.

Genre

We understand that many artists do not fit neatly into a single genre, which is why this section allows multiple selections. Depending on the style and atmosphere of a particular event, we may look for acts within certain genres to help curate the right line-up and overall vibe.

Music Links & Social Media

Although this information may already appear in your EPK, we also ask for direct links to your music and social media platforms so we can quickly access and review your online presence.

Preferred Set Length

Not every act is built to perform a three-hour set like Guns N' Roses. Knowing your preferred set length helps us plan running times, set scheduling, and line-up placement appropriately.

Sound Engineer

We ask whether you have your own sound engineer because the venues we work with typically provide in-house engineers. Having or not having your own engineer will not affect your chances of being booked, it simply helps us prepare the correct technical information and arrangements in advance.
