NIGHT THIEVES RETURN TO NOVACAINE
UK Alt-Metal Powerhouse, Night Thieves, are set to make their return to Novacaine Festival after being voted by you as one of the Top 3 acts at Novacaine Festival 2025 and the timing couldn’t be more perfect with the release of their debut album ‘Metaxis’ earlier this year.
Following weeks of social media teasers over a mystery slot on the festival poster, the modern rock outfit joins headliners As Everything Unfolds alongside TropicGold, TheCityIsOurs, Hacktivist, and more at Corporation, Sheffield on Saturday 28th November 2026.
Night Thieves’ return follows a standout performance at Novacaine’s inaugural 2025 event, where post-festival attendee polling placed them among the Top 3 highest-rated acts of the weekend alongside DACARA and Reanimate. Riding high off the release of their debut album METAXIS, the band returns to Sheffield by popular demand.
Novacaine Festival Promoter Scott O’Shea commented:
"Last year, I booked Night Thieves because their debut EP single 'Polarity' absolutely blew my mind, and I knew we had to get them for our 2025 debut. When we witnessed them live, the atmosphere was insane. The crowd didn’t stop moving, and neither did the band.
"This year, the band released their debut album METAXIS, which is once again filled with absolute belters. I think we’re in for an absolute treat. This is the final band to be announced, and honestly, this line-up is unbelievable. What I thought we’d be able to organize in five years is happening in year two, and that simply wouldn’t be possible without the incredible support from our attendees and Corporation.
On Friday 20 March 2026, Night Thieves released their debut album, METAXIS, further cementing their place within the UK alternative scene as one of the country's most exciting rising alt-metal acts, both in the studio and on the live circuit.
METAXIS showcases some of the band's strongest material to date, with tracks including ‘Obsidian’, ‘Home’, ‘See You On The Otherside’ and ‘Mycelia’ emerging as particular standouts.
When Night Thieves released their third EP, Polarity, in 2024, we found ourselves wondering how they could possibly top it. The entire EP remains a release we return to regularly here at Novacaine, making the arrival of METAXIS all the more exciting. It is clear that the band has poured an enormous amount of work into their debut album, and that dedication has paid off.
The album has also attracted attention from significant names within the alternative scene, including Jessie Powell of Dream State, whose support and feature of the band represents another significant milestone as they continue to make their mark.
We cannot wait to welcome Night Thieves back to Novacaine Festival this year and, for the first time, watch them take to Corporation's main stage. After seeing how far they've come since Polarity, we're incredibly excited to see what they bring.
