DACARA are redefining Manchester’s heavy scene with their explosive blend of pop-infused metal. Fusing the grit of 2000s rock, the intensity of metalcore, and the flair of J-rock, they weave in bold nods to gaming, anime, and cyberpunk culture—delivering shows as theatrical as they are crushing.
Since selling out their debut headline show at Manchester’s Deaf Institute in November 2024, DACARA have continued to rise fast. Their latest single, RØT (April 2025), captures their full spectrum: soaring ethereal vocals, DOOM-inspired synthscapes, blistering breakdowns, and raw, impassioned screams.
On stage, DACARA are unstoppable.
They stormed to the finals of Metal 2 The Masses 2024 with some of the highest scores of the competition, and have already shared stages with international acts including Japanese metal visionaries Esprit D’Air. Their high-energy performances have earned them slots across the UK festival circuit, from Wildfire in Scotland to SOS and Refuge, as well as appearances at Download Festival 2025's Takeover.
