Brit alt-metallers, OUR NORTH, dropped their exhilarating sophomore EP, Everyone For Themselves, which is available as of today (04/07/25). The towering quintet also delivered their hugely captivating new single and video, Violent Rules, on Friday 2nd May and 'Everyone For Themselves' (single) on 27/06/25.

Sheffield hard hitters, OUR NORTH, have been serving up their enticing brand of metalcore, fused with hip hop and trap, since their formation in 2019. Channelling everyone from Bring Me The Horizon and While She Sleeps to Bad Omens, OUR NORTH unleash a sound that is soaked in power, venom, diversity, and passion.

The five-piece have been picking up new friends and fresh fans spurred on by a fiery live show that deftly incorporates stout breakdowns, trap vibes, and vocals that swing from full throttle to singalong hooks. The eclectic crew have also been busy working on their deeply absorbing new EP, Everyone For Themselves.

“This EP delves into these contrasting scenarios, exploring the tension between self-preservation and the impact of selfishness on interpersonal relationships. Our North have also been announced for Novacaine Festival 2025 as they step in for Saints Among Us who announced they will be pulling out of the festival due to unforeseen circumstances earlier this year.

"We first came across Our North when they dropped their electrifying debut single, “Violent Rules,” on May 2nd—and from that very first listen, it was obvious: this band is different. Their sound is raw, intense, and refreshingly original. Right then and there, we knew—we had to bring them to Novacaine 2026.

So when we received the unfortunate news that SAU would be stepping back this year due to personal reasons, we were disappointed—but a door also opened. Our North were already on our radar, and as a rising force from South Yorkshire, they felt like the perfect fit.

We were searching for a local act with momentum, vision, and something real to say. Our North deliver that in spades. Their sound is bold, uncompromising, and totally in sync with the future of Novacaine. Welcoming them to the 2025 lineup just made sense.
