Manchester's conceptual Rock act, The Heir Apparition, are set to re-release their debut album 'Part I - Broken Crowns' which was originally released on 3rd September, 2024 under the bands former name 'Fates Hollow'.
The re-release will be titled 'Part I - Broken Crowns Momento Mori Edition' and will release on September 3rd, 2025 to celebrate the bands 1 Year Anniversary.
The Memento Mori Edition is a retuned, remastered version of that first album featuring improved mixes, new drum sampling, more precise masters and much more. It represents the album as it should be heard, and serves as the perfect introduction for new listeners as well as a great way to get reacquainted with the band and their music for those who have been around since the beginning.
The Memento Mori Edition also includes a full instrumental version of the album, plus brand new, in depth track by track commentary about the story behind the songs and the life events that inspired them.
Reece Warburton, the bands founding vocalist & visionary commented on the upcoming re-release:
“The idea of revisiting this music for the anniversary, going back and figuring out what could be improved or enhanced, is really exciting to us. Although we do feel the core vision of what we wanted Part I to be was achieved with that first release, budget and time constraints meant we had to let some things go in the process, and getting to go back and work on it all over again felt like a natural thing to do as we celebrate a full year of Broken Crowns. We want to breathe new life into this album, and introduce ourselves to a whole new audience under our new name.”
PART I – BROKEN CROWNS MEMENTO MORI EDITION will release digitally on all major streaming services, along with a limited vinyl run on September 3rd.
The Heir Apparition are set to perform at Novacaine Festival on Saturday 4th October, 2025 and is currently set to be the bands third live performance since they re-branded earlier this year.
Novacaine Festival organiser Scott O'Shea comments:
“Earlier this year, there was a slight change in the lineup — some of you may have noticed that Fates Hollow was replaced with The Heir Apparition. Well, it’s actually the same band! They’ve rebranded and come back even more energetic than before.
We can’t wait to hear their re-release of Part I – Broken Crowns. That album blew us away when it first dropped last year, and we’re confident this new version will be even better. With their performance at Novacaine Festival 2025 fast approaching, the anticipation is definitely building!”
