Child of Fortune is an old school pop punk anthem with a progressive twist. As ever with Fate's Hollow, the new track is completely narrative based, with the song acting as a narrative introduction to the main character of the album, a cocky, bored young man named Elo.

The songs real life inspiration comes from personal interactions with people who never seem content with what they have, always acting entitled to everything and stepping on everyone else to get what they want. The recurring theme of a silver spoon plays into the songs cover art and really defines the entire idea in a single image.

"Child Of Fortune was actually one of the first four or so songs we wrote as a band, so it's been cooking for quite a while. It was a welcome change to the quite melancholy stuff we'd already written, and definitely turned out to be one of our more fun songs. It's an interesting song narratively because its our first time meeting Elo, our main character, and we don't exactly portray him in the best light. We want people to sort of dislike Elo to begin with, and then see him grow as a person as we put him through these story beats throughout Part I and eventually Part II. He will go through a lot, let's put it that way." - Reece, Vocals/Guitars

'Child Of Fortune' is the bands second single to date, following on from their highly successful debut release, The End Of Summer, earlier this year. Both single are taken from the highly anticipated forthcoming concept album "The Heir Apparition Part I - Broken Crowns.", that has been completely crowdfunded and is set for release later this year.

Novacaine Rating: 10/10 "Another awesome release from Fates Hollow, so excited for the new album later this year!"
