UK Deathcore Act, WRITHE, have launched a brutal assault with their new single "Host" on April 11th, 2025.

UK deathcore unit WRITHE have shared their first taste of new music since their 2023 debut, In Filth, in their planetary new single "HOST", alongside a chaotic and gloomy music video, directed by Kieran Gallop. The track, produced by guitarist/songwriter Sebastian Smith, also marks the band's first release with new vocalist Jack Tyrell.
Discussing the new single, the band states:
"HOST" tells the story of an alien parasite that transforms its victims into zombified hosts, bound in servitude to an omnipotent, unspeakable beast. The vocalist, Jack Tyrrell, embodies the chosen herald - the leader of a cult destined to birth a hive mind set on devouring and annihilating humanity."
The release of "HOST" comes shortly following the band's recent slot supporting UK deathcore veterans Osiah at their London headliner back in March, alongside Beyond Extinction and Eschalon. With the promise of more new music and live shows on the horizon, 2025 is shaping up to be a huge year for WRITHE.
Novacaine Rating: 10/10
"WRITHE isn’t just out of this world — they sound like they've been dragged straight from the depths of hell. Summoned by the dark lord himself, their latest single 'HOST' is a filthy, unrelenting display of deathcore at its most savage. It's brutal, it's vile, and it's everything the genre should be."
