Joshua Bowles, the vocalist & lead visionary of Mirrorglass, told us all about the new releases:

"Ghost Town" is a powerful, anthemic rock track that evolves from an eerie, reflective atmosphere into a massive crescendo. Written nearly a year before the band's debut single, "Hey Honey!", “Ghost Town” was part of the foundations of Mirrorglass. The lyrics explore themes of isolation, disconnection, and the tension between reality and paranoia, culminating in an explosive finale that marks both a breaking point and an awakening.

Joshua Bowles (18) reflects:

"Ghost Town is really the song that kicked things off in Mirrorglass. It encapsulated the vision I had for the project, and everything has evolved from there. I had other songs written at the time, but 'Ghost Town', when it came together, ended up becoming the first Mirrorglass song."

The B-side, "Where Will You Go?", offers a fresh take on a previously released track. This new version incorporates previously omitted string arrangements and additional instrumental layers, enhancing its cinematic and immersive feel.

Joshua adds:

"The album features new versions of 'Hey Honey!', 'Let’s Go To Mine,' and 'Where Will You Go?' All three have been reworked in different ways, but for me, 'Where Will You Go?' is the one that has really reached new heights. We initially took a raw approach with it, but I always envisioned it as a song with more of an orchestral feel."

Mirrorglass has also revealed that they have decided to embrace physical media, as apposed to releasing their album via platforms such as Spotify and Apple Music:

"In an era where streaming dominates, Handle With Care will be initially released exclusively on CD to encourage a more immersive and intentional listening experience. Mirrorglass urges music listeners to rediscover the concept of the album as a complete, tangible work of art—rather than a collection of individual songs designed for the playlist driven culture of today.

While streaming platforms may appear to offer exposure through playlists, the reality is that they primarily serve major label artists, leaving independent musicians struggling to gain visibility. As a result, it has become nearly impossible for independent artists to fully harness the tools available. Essentially, they give away their music for free on these platforms leading to the work they put into their music being underappreciated.

By prioritizing physical sales, Mirrorglass wants to highlight the value of music beyond digital convenience—asserting that music is not just throwaway content, but an artistic statement that deserves to be experienced in its fullest form." - Mirrorglass

Novacaine Rating: 9/10

"Ghost Town" doesn’t just flirt with nostalgia—it dives headfirst into it. Drenched in late-'80s to early-'90s flair, the track rips through your speakers with the same brash confidence you'd expect from The Jam or early Kaiser Chiefs. The guitars are unapologetically loud, rough-edged, and gloriously front-and-center, while the vocals hover just below, like a ghost in the mix—haunting, deliberate, and coolly detached.

But this isn’t just a throwback for the sake of it. "Ghost Town" is tight, infectious, and self-aware, balancing raw energy with a slick sense of control. It’s the kind of track that begs to be played loud, windows down, attitude up.

With those influences shining through loud and clear, Mirrorglass are just starting to make noise on the airwaves—and they’ve got something special brewing. If they can carve out a unique twist on this classic sound, they’ll set themselves apart in a crowded field. The potential is real. They just need to crack the code—and when they do, don’t be surprised if they’re sharing stages with the greats." - Scott O'Shea

"Adding to that, Mirrorglass’s decision to release their debut album exclusively on physical formats is a bold move—and an important one. In an era dominated by digital convenience and fleeting streams, it’s a defiant statement that demands attention. Sure, it means fewer ears will catch the release at first, but if the band gains momentum, this choice could become an iconic stand against the streaming status quo.

It also highlights a harsh reality of today’s industry: most artists aren’t making money from their recorded music anymore. The real revenue now comes from live shows and merch—hence the rising cost of both.

While we’d love to see a full-fledged return to physical media, those days seem like a distant memory. That said, with vinyl enjoying a serious resurgence, maybe there’s still room for artists to reimagine how they release their work. Mirrorglass might just be ahead of the curve." - Scott O'Shea
